Okay, you may think it’s silly that I’m prefacing this with a warning, but truth be told, too much water can actually hurt or even kill you. I’m sure none of you are gonna pound glasses of water for 6 hours a day, but I just want you to be aware of the fact that too much water is in fact bad! Practice safe hydration. :b
Water is the single-handedly most important thing you can ever have in your life. You’ll see or hear such things as “drink x amount of water a day” or something similar. Well, it’s right!
The more water you drink, the better you’ll feel physically and emotionally. Whenever a friend of mine complains of joint aches, headaches, feeling excessively tired, or what have you, the first thing I’ll ask is “have you had a good amount of water today?” and then I’ll usually recommend to drink more and about 85% of the time, that does the trick!
Without going into it, we all know we’re primarily made up of water. We need it to survive, just like all other living things on our planet. It rejuvenates us, re-hydrates us, makes our skin more youthful and our body happy!
How much you should drink
Try to drink at least 8-10 glasses of water a day. Hell, drink more if you want! (Don’t sit there and pound glass after glass for 20 minutes or you’ll feel ill. But I’m sure you have enough common sense to know that :b ).
Also, when going out to dinner, just ask for water instead! If you don’t like the taste of it there or at home add a lemon wedge! Or you can ask the waiter/waitress to add one for you. You’ll A) be hydrating yourself throughout the meal B) saving yourself money because WATER IS FREE!! and C) you’ll be able to enjoy your full meal should you choose to eat all of it because you’re not filling your belly with carbon dioxide, which makes you feel full.
